Privacy Policy

How Shah Upadhyay and Associates LLP handles personal data collected through this website, in keeping with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.

Who we are

Shah Upadhyay and Associates LLP (formerly Shah & Upadhyay) is a firm of Chartered Accountants with its office at 103, Zeus, Pride Enclave CHS, BPD Road, Thane West, Maharashtra 400602, India. For the personal data described in this notice, the firm is the data fiduciary under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 ("DPDP Act").

What personal data we collect

  • Enquiry form: when you send an enquiry through this website, we collect the details you enter — your name, mobile number, email address, city and the text of your query.
  • Direct contact: if you call, email or message us on WhatsApp using the links on this site, we receive the details you choose to share.
  • Technical logs: our hosting provider keeps standard, short-lived server logs (such as IP address and pages requested) for security and reliability. This website does not use cookies, analytics or advertising trackers.

Why we collect it

  • To respond to your enquiry and correspond with you about it.
  • To provide professional services you engage us for, and to maintain records that the law or our professional obligations require.

We do not sell personal data, and we do not use enquiry details for marketing lists.

How the enquiry form works

Form submissions are relayed by FormSubmit (a form-delivery service) directly to the firm's email inbox. The submission travels over an encrypted connection and is then held in our email system.

How long we keep it

Enquiry details are retained in our email records for up to 24 months after our last correspondence with you, unless a professional engagement follows (in which case records are kept as required for that engagement and by applicable law), or unless you ask us to erase them earlier.

Your rights

Under the DPDP Act you may ask us to tell you what personal data of yours we hold, correct it, or erase it; you may also withdraw consent you have given, and raise a grievance about how your data has been handled. To exercise any of these, contact us using the details below and we will respond within a reasonable time, in accordance with the Act and the rules made under it.
